hello A very belated Happy New Year. Back to the usual market routine now and the hustle and bustle of Christmas fades from the memory. Not back on track with our supply of meat yet - our beef is still in short supply as the abattoir took a long break and our beef hangs for 28 days. Usual Cardiff markets this weekend with Usk on Saturday and Porthcawl next Sat 26th Jan.
Getting ready for the early lambing - shed space is at a premium at Cefn Coed so Ffi's ewes will have to squish in the hay shed. Penrhiw ewes have the Dutch Barn - an old hay barn but cosy enough as long as there is no Beast from the East.
Hetty, our homebred grey filly, is almost 4 now and is with Ffi furthering her education. Ffi has sat on her back and ridden her around the manege - she was SO well behaved. Photos on the Penrhiw facebook page.
